The Department has adopted and implements the concept of the teacher advisor. This institution facilitates undergraduate students to complete their studies in the most rational and efficient way. The Advisor Professor chooses the way of approaching and helping the students assigned to him/her. As a minimum common approach to our students, the Department requires that the Faculty Advisor inform and advise students on all of the following:
- Course content, participation in workshops, utilization of the Department's infrastructure, difficulties, ways of course evaluation, encouraging the student to participate in advances, workshops, series of exercises, remedial teaching with extra tutorials, etc. that help the student to understand and pass the course.
- Content of elective courses and discussion with the student about personal interests before final course selection.
- Discussion of the test results.
- Selection of a thesis topic.
- Postgraduate studies (in the Department, in Greece and/or abroad).
- Career prospects (opportunities in the public and private sectors, freelance work, jobs abroad).
- Discussion of any family, personal or other issue that is creating obstacles to study.
In addition, students of the Department can seek free support for personal issues, beyond their studies, at the Counselling and Psychological Support Structure - WeCare of the University of Peloponnese (https://wecare.uop.gr/).
